Community Manager Kaivax posted on 23 October 2026 that the WoW Forever Beta is now closed. The post thanks participants for five weeks of playtesting, data gathering, bug reporting and feedback.
The post also confirms that launch day is November 4 and that character creation opens earlier, on Tuesday, October 27.
What it means for players
- The beta is over, so beta access has ended.
- Character creation opens on Tuesday, October 27, so players can choose a ruleset and a name before launch.
- Players do not have to wait for launch to make those decisions.
- Launch day is November 4.
You won’t have to wait until the game launches to make these big decisions.
We’re now quickly moving into a period of a few short days where we will do some focused work on priority issues and the game service itself, so that it will be in good shape for launch day on November 4.
